Diani Reef Beach Resort and Spa is now a member of Colobus Trust

The Colobus Trust, based in Diani, was set up in 1997 in response to a

large number of deaths of Black-and-White Angolan Colobus monkeys Colobus

angolensis palliatus on the road. The Colobus monkeys in Diani are only

found on the South Coast of Kenya and in Tanzania and are specialized to

live in the coral rag forests found at the Coast. The Colobus Trust works

to save the primates and forest habitat found in Diani and beyond. The

Trust’s projects include the rescue and rehabilitation of injured, sick

and ex-pet monkeys, educating local schoolchildren on environmental

issues, tree planting, the insulation of electricity wires as well as

building and maintaining bridges to facilitate monkeys’ safe passage

across the Diani main road.

We have really enjoyed our stay here. Very nice hotel and friendly staff all of them. Food and accommodation are very good. Please give the resort more colour by more and different entertainment in the evening at the Zebra Bar. We celebrated my Dads 50^th birthday party at Diani Reef, we received a very warm welcome. The food and entertainment  during dinner  was excellent . Very good hospitality. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The birthday cake was very delicious. Vegetarian food selected was excellent, especially the live cooking meal option. We had a very memorable time at Diani Reef and look forward to visiting again.

Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa

               

                                              

   

                         

We just came back a few days ago from Diani Reef and have all us very appreciated. The hotel is very pleasant, beautiful lobby; the floor is covered a glass tiles and you can see the fish swimming beneath your feets. Wonderful beach, the sun beds are on the beach and the guards are doing an excellent job to control the beach boy’s enthusiasm.

 

The welcome is warmly and the Indian manager and his team are much present and motivate their teams, which take attention to all details to make your stay enjoyable.

 

Nice buffet, good selection, Indian dishes present to every meal (which is not unpleasant for us). Animation friendly but not intrusive.

The rooms; at the beginning we has a room with garden view, there was a little mlould smell. At our request we have obtained a room with sea view, which is far better. In brief, the room are of course the point to improvefor a 5 stars hotels but this is recovered by the quality of the service and the friendliness of the employees.

 

The treatment in spa during a raining was magic.

 

To finish, we had excellent holidays at the beach with in a wonderful safari between, which was organized by Peter from WTsafari in Diani. I could only recommend it. He was perfect.

We would like to return it.
